architectonic clover hill, bacup projects

. . . .

clover hill, bacup

a new kitchen and dining room are provided for this large, semi detached victorian house.

the client wanted the new building to feel modern and light, and to contrast from the existing house.

the walls of the kitchen are formed from locally quarried ashlar
stone, they are wrapped around the existing property boundary to give the room a sheltered form.

the dining room has a glazed wall, which faces west to receive
the afternoon sun and opens onto the existing courtyard
